"Turning players of today into champions of tomorrow"
The Miami High Touch Football Excellence Program aims to develop students into high performing players, able to be successful at the elite level. The program utilises leading coaching staff through its links with Australian Touch Football, as well as an accredited strength and conditioning team. Athletes are tracked and mentored throughout the entirety of the program, supported by both an experienced and dedicated teaching team and student leadership team within the program.
Course Structure and Overview
The Touch Excellence Program consists of a Year 7, 8 and 9 boys class & 7, 8 and 9 girls class in the junior school and a mixed class across year 10, 11 and 12. Both programs consist of 3 x 70 minute lessons per week plus additional sessions held outside of curriculum time.
Students in the senior program will complete a Cert II in Sport and Recreation, which contributes to gaining a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).
QCE subject choices may include the following:
Including Interschool sport, additional sessions and class time, students will be involved in approximately six hours per week of instruction and participation.

The Touch Football Excellence Program will enhance and develop individual student learning through the following:

Athlete guest presenters
Touch coaching courses and accreditation
Touch refereeing courses and accreditation
Competitive gameplay at local, state and national tournaments
Industry links with Palm Beach Stingrays Touch and South East Queensland Sharks Touch
To be considered for entry into the Touch Football Excellence Program, students will need to have a high level of touch football physical capability and a desire to take their game to the next level. In addition, students are required to submit a written application and attend a trial day.
Cost
An annual fee in addition to the school resource scheme fee is payable before a student commences in an Excellence Program and each subsequent year that the student is a part of a program.
