Hosting an international student is a meaningful and enriching experience. As a homestay family, you'll open your home to a young person from abroad, sharing your culture while learning about theirs—right from your living room.
Why Host?

What You'll Receive
- A fortnightly allowance of $764 per student to cover living expenses.
- Ongoing support from our school's International Team and Education Queensland International, including after-hours assistance.
- Guidance before arrival and throughout the student's stay.
Who Can Host?
Our homestay families are wonderfully diverse-ranging from couples with children, single parents, grandparents, and individuals. If you have a warm, welcoming home and a desire to make a difference, you're encouraged to apply.
About the International Students
- Students come from Europe, Asia, and South America
- They stay for 6 to 12 months or longer
- We welcome large intakes in Term 1 and Term 3 each year
- Their English and level of confidence vary

- A private bedroom with a study desk
- Three meals and snacks daily
