Sport Carnivals
Miami SHS holds school sport carnivals where
competitive athletes can complete for the opportunity to represent Miami SHS in
further events. Participants are welcome
to enter all events. Students will be
given a school team and participation in sport carnivals build team points.
Term 1- Swimming.
Term 2- Cross country.
Term 3- Athletics.

Sporting Facilities
Miami
High boasts an extensive range of sporting facilities available for student
use. Topping the list is our full-size
all-weather playing surface comprising of 4 new basketball courts, 4
netball courts, and 3 volleyball courts.
The
campus also features a large manicured sporting field, a full-equipped
gymnasium, and a 25-metre outdoor swimming pool. Six state-of-the-art tennis courts are also
available to students.
Students
can also make use of Miami’s beautiful beach, where one learn to swim lesson is included as part of the international program. Miami State High School partners with a local surf school provider which international students can access on weekends as an additional expense and experience.

students have the opportunity to join the various Miami SHS sporting teams
that play in competition against other Gold Coast high schools.

Students can engage in a recreational sport through the MySpace program. Recreation sport options vary yearly;
however usually include skateboarding, walking, tennis, soccer
and volleyball.
