Miami State High School's Manual Arts Block is for students who have an interest in exploring the interplay of tools, materials, and machines. The school's construction and manufacturing facilities offer a variety of wood and metalworking areas, where students can work towards obtaining various trade certificates.

The metalworking area is fully equipped with modern tools and machinery such as the Metal Lathe, Milling Machine, and MIG and MMA Welders, which provide students with the ability to work on various projects such as constructing a range of items. Some of the projects that students create in class include a spice rack, a modern concrete top side table, cantilever toolbox, meat tenderiser, collapsible shovel and the fire brazier. Additionally, students have the opportunity to construct dog kennels, where they can showcase their skills in designing and constructing functional structures.

At Miami State High School, the safety of students is of utmost importance. All students attending the Manual Arts Block will receive instruction on site safety to ensure they are familiar with proper handling of equipment and the safe operation of tools and machinery.

The Manual Arts Block provides students with the opportunity to explore their creativity, develop practical skills, and gain an understanding of the importance of safety in manual arts. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the facilities, tools, and equipment available to them, which will enable them to develop the skills necessary to pursue their passion in manual arts and prepare them for future trade careers.
