Miami State High School's Science Labs was commissioned in 2011. Since then, they have greatly improved the teaching of science by providing a modern learning environment for both students and teachers.
The Science Labs are designed are equipped with a variety of lab equipment and technology to ensure that students have access to the best resources available.
To enhance the learning experience, electronic whiteboards and projectors are installed in the labs. This equipment provides students with interactive learning and helps teachers to present their lessons more efficiently and effectively. Additionally, safety equipment such as eyewashes and showers are also included in the lab to ensure that students can work safely and comfortably.
The labs are well-stocked with exciting new science equipment, such as data loggers, desiccator cabinets, and water baths. These resources encourage the pursuit of science by both staff and students.
Furthermore, there is a large, well-appointed prep room in E-block to assist the Science Officers in supporting the Science department. It is equipped with a water deioniser to provide fresh deionised water for senior experiments, a chemical storeroom that complies with Workplace Healthy and Safety regulations, and an abundance of science equipment.
