Miami State High School provides a program that successfully supports the transition of students prior to entering high school, throughout the junior phase whilst continuing to track and support growth and outcomes. Data gathered regarding our Ready, Set, Reach for the Stars Our transition program has been recognised at a regionally for its extraordinary learning outcomes.

- Days of Excellence designed for primary school students to have a high school experience whilst building capacity of our students in certificate courses
- Parent information evenings, meet and greet the principal and junior team building relationships with families to gain important information about student learning needs.
- Lead in days prior to transition and orientation
Set and Reach for the Stars
- Year 7 personal development program which encompasses: orientation to high school, introduction to support personnel, technology skills, including using digital platforms and to be remote ready. Literacy intervention programs -Crack the Code (Spelling and reading program)
