Winter School Uniform and Uniform Shop Hours of Operation

It is with pleasure that I inform you of the arrival of the Winter School Uniform and changes within our Uniform Shop. As communicated last year this has been the result of a great deal of work from our Student Leaders, P&C Association and feedback from parents.

When introducing something new I am very conscious of the fact that it comes with a price tag to parents, so great consideration has been given on how to keep costs to a minimum for parents whilst our students still visually looking and feeling smart. Therefore, this school winter uniform is the same for all year levels with the jacket being suitable to be worn with both formal and sport uniforms. This becomes more cost effective for families over the course of their child’s education. The quality of this uniform (particularly the jacket) is second to none ensuring warmth, durability and longevity.

For students who wish to continue wearing their white or royal blue school jumper, this will be allowed for the remainder of 2019. This enables an extensive period to phase out the outdated winter jumpers.

The Winter School Uniform is available for purchase from Day 1, Term 2 at the Uniform Shop.

Uniform Shop Changes

There is a new face in the Uniform Shop from Term 2 onwards. Sharon Mitchell who is a long-standing highly respected member of our P&C Association will be taking over from Chriss Archibald who has been managing the Uniform Shop over the past 15 years. We would like to thank Chriss for her ongoing commitment, hard work and dedication.

From the commencement of Term 2 2019, the Uniform Shop hours of operation will be changing. The Uniform Shop will be open from 8:00am to 1:30pm Monday & Tuesday. These hours will increase during busy times which will be communicated on Facebook.

Along with the students, staff, School Council and P&C Association at Miami State High School I am looking forward to seeing our students looking sharp whilst keeping warm throughout the cooler months.
